So what makes the Epica range different to "normal" CT Scanners?

So what is the difference between the models?
Epica VIMAGO™ GT30
- Aimed at small animal
- Faster (18 seconds compared to 32 seconds for the Vimago HU)
- Dual monitor on control station, =(1 dedicated for fluoroscopy for a full Cath Lab suite including mapping, subtraction, DSA & Burst mode)
- Panel/detector is 33% larger than the older HU models = (much larger scan region, which also means less time & less time under anesthesia)
- Less Radiation
- Soft tissue & Contrast image is highly enhanced
Epica PEGASO™ Evolution
- Aimed at large animal clinics and practices including equine and zoos
- Highest resolution scanner available for large animals and horses.
- Gantry tilt to 15 degrees
- Massive 1.2 meter gantry
- Variable geometry gantry (1.1m to 0.8m source detector)
- Optimizes image quality for any part of the horse or large animals
- Auto-corrects for standing head & neck movement up to 10cm
- Spatial resolution with isotropic voxels as high as 0.09mm
- Designed to keep the horse safe and calm
